چکیده

Scoparia dulcis Linn plays an important role in treatment because it contains active compounds that are proven to have a variety of activities, including cytotoxicity on various cancer cells. The objective this study is isolate and identify the cytotoxic ethyl acetate fraction dulcis, observe cell cycle inhibition induction apoptosis vitro, carry out molecular studies using silico studies. A new diterpene compound was isolated from L. Indonesian origin. Chromatographic methods were used compound, spectroscopic elucidate its structure, these data compared with those reported literature. tested for activity against two breast cells (MCF-7 T47D). results showed effect MCF-7 T47D at IC50 70.56 ± 1.54 <3.125 0.43 µg/mL, respectively. inhibited growth accumulation G1 phases, induced apoptosis. Based analysis, identified as 2α-hydroxyscopadiol, which diterpenoid. docking revealed isolate’s hydroxyl groups essential interacting crucial residues sites ER PR caspase-9. inhibits binding energies −8.2 kcal/mol −7.3 kcal/mol, In addition, also able induce through activation caspase-9 pathway affinity −9.0 kcal/mol. conclusion, S. demonstrated anticancer based vitro

The Genotoxic and Cytotoxic Effects of Bisphenol-A (BPA) in MCF-7 Cell Line and Amniocytes

Bisphenol-A (BPA) is an industrial xenoestrogen used widely in our living environment. Recently, several studies suggested that BPA has destructive effects on DNA and chromosomes in normal body cells via estrogen receptors (ER). Therefore, BPA could be considered as an important mediator in many diseases such as cancer. However, there are still many controversial issues which need clarification...
